Linuxmint12 with cinnamon gives the most user friendly interface. I run docky with it. Installing cinnamon also allows running unity.

@chromelady How come you cannot use the tracker?

I love Linux. I currently use Mint, JoliOS, Zorin and Mageia (I distro hop a lot). Never got the tracker working on my Tux boxes so far, so I'm reduced to track my W7 desktop.

this linux > osx or linux vs. osx should come to and end.
to me, the correct formula is osx & linux & unix > windows

i'm dual-booting ubuntu and macosx (and some occasional distros at times) on a macbook and loving both of them (ubuntu is sweet when it comes to networking while osx has a unrivaled set of multimedia tools, if i really have to be a little more specific).

afaik(eep) windows out of the way, it's (little more or less) all good =)

[8 months late but] I wouldn't say that as much as
unix + linux + osx > windows I don't see why osx and linux fans can't get along as I run osx/ubuntu/fedora/opensuse xD

@thymox, contacting Microsoft for a windows refund for a pre-built system or OEM windows will result in Microsoft telling you that you must contact the manufacturer of your prebuilt system. Gateway, HP, ASUS, etc. do not offer Windows refunds (most don't actually.)

@squ1d - you know you can install Linux alongside Windows, or better yet you can remove Windows entirely. Indeed, if you get a new computer you might want to read up about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_refund

I use a linux at work, but I only track my home pc which came with windows.

@xfact i think many of this users just have dualboot or number of computers running diffrent OS.
In fact my girlfriend is a huge linux fan, but she have recently installed windosXP for games :)
But it's quite absurd using IE instead of firefox or chrome even in windows :) may be it's a bunch of testers? ))
