The 3rd most popular messenger on Linux
… More EditXChat is one of the most popular IRC clients for Unix-like systems. It has a choice of a tabbed or tree interface, support for multiple servers, and a high level of configurability. Both command line and graphical versions are available, although use of the graphical version far outweighs use of the command line version.

This is probably the best IRC client available. It's simple, but has all the features one could need, highly customisable, and doesn't hog resources.
Good IRC client, but I rather like Pidgin!
The IRC client that I've come to love over the years.
A easy-use irc software, much better than ponderous mirc.
For me - best client for IRC.
Best. IRC. Client. EVAR!
The best IRC GUI client on Linux, by far...
I use the free rebuilded Version of X-Chat for Win
This programm has included all the features a IRC client need
But its still very easy to use
For advanced userers there are many options and nearly all is configurable
So its a programm that adjust to the user not one where the user have adjust to the programm
I wont miss it
Great and fast IRC client, interfaces are inconsequent in some parts, but overall very powerful and easy to handle. Good scripting support to even enhance the abilities of this client.
Great IRC client and simple interface.
The only IRC client I would even consider using on Linux.
I am still fairly new to irc chat but it seems to be everywhere:)
I like the icon too.be sure to get all the plug-ins and extras also if you use Ubuntu Linux be sure to add the applet.
It's fast, lot of settings, looks great, but some GUI elements could be more integrated into the settings window.
Awesome IRC client! Maybe it's not ads lightweight as irssi but it's easy to use.
I've been walking on the frost
