The 8th most popular web client on Linux
Transmission Remote GUI is feature rich cross platform front-end to remotely control Transmission daemon via its RPC protocol. It is faster and has more functionality than build-in Transmission web interface. Sometimes bittorent will be called this by the wakoopa tracker.

This my my default torrent application as I use Transmission on my NAS and I use my NAS to download torrent files and store them there.
Nice app to control transmission daemon from my network.
Wonderfool!
wth? why is this on my newcomers list?
When you use Transmission (even if not natively but for example on your FreeNAS box) then the Remote GUI is indeed a valuable accessory: it's got an uTorrent-inspired interface, uses trackers from the announce URLs for label and allows to set speeds/connection limits for individual .torrents.
The only negative thing to say about the software are release intervals - reported bugs get fixed in decent time, but a binary releases containing those fixes tend be be released way to far apart.
This is just a remote gui not the client. So what should be the correct category in your opinion then?
This is not a remote desktop tool and should be in the same category with Torrent clients.
Torrent client GUI.
