It's a little bit expensive but its worth it. The interface is really beautiful, it has all the feature that I require in a task application. The only thing is missing is cloud sync. Currently you can only synchronize Things for Mac with Things for iPhone/iPad when you start both Apps while in the same wifi. According to the website of Cultured Code this feature is already in the making.

It is not so good as everybody say. “Things” is an ideal solution for simple and light GTD, like a grouped tasks and ToDo-lists, but useless for serious stuff and projects — there is no subtasks, there is no types of task sequences — all project like a single actions lists, even there is no filters. It looks very nice, truly on mac-way, but that’s all. “Things” have one-way sync with iPhone (there’s no sync with many Mac clients, only between Mac and iPhone) — only over Wi-Fi, and I can’t just work with my Mac app and get the same copy on my iPhone when I need it, without wasting my time on Wi-Fi sync and without remembering about it. Developers of “Things” promise us the cloud sync, but I don’t want yet another sync service because there’s enough services for this with open API — Dropbox, MobileMe and etc. And I don’t want wait forever until guys reinventing the wheel.
If you need light and simple GTD manager or ToDo list, you can find really good and free solutions like a “wunderlist” or any of good web apps. If you want a serious and true GTD manager, then OmniFocus is your only option.

When you want a guiding hand on how to use GTD, this app is it. As a student, I don't need a full blown GTD app like the David Allen approved OmniFocus. A simple app such as this one is sufficient, but of course with simplicity comes the urge for new functionality.

I won't lie, the moment Action Lists comes out with a desktop app, I'll switch over. Until then, I have Things.

A great app for staying productive. I originally used Things, then switched to The Hit List, but recently switched back. I switched to The Hit List because it had more functionality (task heirarchy, timing tasks etc.) but I came back to Things mainly because it is being actively developed (including on iPhone/iPod touch. I quickly realized that even though it misses a lot of features of The Hit List, its simplicity lends itself a lot better to actually getting things done. Instead of focusing on creating hierarchical tasks and adding other info to each task, I can focus on actually doing the task. My two cents.
