An anti-virus tool on Windows

RootkitRevealer is an advanced rootkit detection utility. It runs on Windows NT 4 and higher and its output lists Registry and file system API discrepancies that may indicate the presence of a user-mode or kernel-mode root-kit. RootkitRevealer successfully detects all persistent rootkits published at www.rootkit.com, including AFX, Vanquish and HackerDefender.

It works great ....... and finds even those rootkits which are hidden to your anti-virus ...... a very handy tool which sometimes reports an app wrongly.......so go slow as JoWazzoo said ..... better be safe than sorry

One of the best Rootkit tools - BUT. Just because it IDs an app does not mean that it is bad. Go slow with all Rootkit apps.
