VVVVVV, Limbo and finally Super Meat Boy, the best. It's been a good year for platform games.
With a humorous charm and tough-as-nails platforming, Super Meat Boy manages to pack a punch with its lengthy and challenging levels, having enough content to last you for quite a while. There are some problems with lag on the PC, which can really ruin a great run on a tough level, though that never makes much of a difference, especially considering how high your death-count will rise over the course of the game in the first place. Definitely a great value, and it is almost flawless beyond the occasional performance issue. Not necessarily for the easily frustrated, but the game definitely has plenty of casual and hardcore appeal, the game being easy to pick up and play. Much of this accessibility is due to the game allowing you to skip around levels if a certain one is too challenging for you, a fantastic feature that helps the game shine as a game with wide-spread appeal. Definitely one of the best values of the year.
I simply LOVE IT!
A whole load of fun, would recommend it to anyone.
