The most popular document viewer on Mac OS X
Preview is Mac OS X's application for displaying images and Portable Document Format (PDF) documents. Like OS X itself, it comes from NeXT's OPENSTEP operating system. Preview employs Apple's implementation of Adobe's PDF specification, and heavily uses Apple's Cocoa graphical user interface, Quartz graphics layer, and QuickTime image codec.

Annoying in the way it handles annotating PDFs, but other than that a brilliant tool.
I don't need to have Adobe Reader on my Mac, because this is such a great tool.
Fantastic in Lion.
Great all-round document viewer.
Love the fullscreen mode in Lion!!
One of the nicest luxuries moving from Windows to Mac. This is such an awesome, simple thing that Mac users take for granted. Why Windows can't handle quickly viewing different file types with the speed or elegance that Preview manages is unfortunate.
