I make like $100 a day :D

First of all, I'm more happy with the site than I am disappointed, although the drawbacks have caused me some consternation and downright angry moments. The variety of games they offer is unsurpassed among competitors. The quality of game play is top notch, particularly among the "astronomers' freerolls," which for me are the way to go since I prefer to enter larger events. They allow you to alter the table themes and customize them any way you'd like, making one of their windows function essentially like a 'skin'; this is nice when I'm playing multiple events simultaneously, allowing me to differentiate between various events without having to read every title bar, and I can save these themes globally so that any time an event begins, say the hubble freeroll, it always retains my saved theme.
What I don't like, however, is their servers' performance overall. I can play carefree maybe 30-40 minutes before connectivity issues arise, usually during a big hand for me, which oftentimes results in me losing a winning hand because I was logged off the site for exactly long enough to time out; at times I have considered the possibility of someone actually monitoring my account and deliberately pushing me out to cheat me. That's not an accusation, just a paranoid theory. I don't have connectivity issues anywhere else, but they're consistently problematic for me; and I watch many others at the tables I'm at experience disconnections quite often as well. I realize their servers are in the U.K., but so are those of Last.fm and many others who somehow provide reliable connections, AND all without money on the line!
Overall, though, I'd recommend PokerStars to the beginner and avid cardsharp alike. I give them one thumb up and a second thumb pressing the refresh button on my laptop, trying to reestablish a connection to the site.

Nice room

After having picked up Pokerstars when I moved on to a Mac as my old site didn't support Mac play, I've found that it has been an excellent move. The variety of games available has really allowed me to broaden my Poker skills.
