I think this is the best image editor available, sure it misses few options that better and expensive editors have but this is all i need so far :)

A good replacement if you can't get Photoshop.

Free, incredibly light, almost as good as Photoshop and much easier to use!

Easy to use, does what I need, and quickly. The GIMP is pretty decent, but takes forever to start up, Paint.NET doesn't have that problem.

There are a huge number of amazing plugins. It costs nothing, and is far better than MS Paint, with the right plugins it's better than gimp, and almost on the level of, if not as good as the new PhotoShop.

I have been using this application for the past 4-6 months, and have found it much more useful than MS paint. You can work with many photos at one time, switch between them, use layers, use effects, make adjustments, all these features make MS paint look meager. Though we have been using MS paint now for quite some time and are friendly with it, so if you really want to switch over to this excellent tool, you need to be patient and need to learn to use this application to it's fullest. Mind you, as I am doing now, you will never go back to MS paint, once you get the hang of this tool. It's simply EXCELLENT.

Don't write off Paint.NET because it's free. It's got better and better over time. I've recently been introduced to the vast selection of plug-ins availiable, which really boosts it's power.

As good as, if not better than the plug-ins, is the community support. Whatever you're trying to do in PDN, someone has already done it before and will be happy to walk you through it.

Easy to use, but still can be powerful with the right plug-ins.

A photoshop for poors

Full of features and helps me get the job done quickly and effectively. You even can find more add-on features online if you need them.

A very useful program for editing pictures. Great for when you need just a bit more than the standard features of Paint. Good selection of effects and tools.
