Notworthy Composer is a program that allows you to create music using the MIDI standard. There are two versions of Noteworth Composer: Registered and Unregistered. Both are identical, except the Unregistered version puts a 10 save limit on your NWC files (does not apply to MIDI files). This program is also popular amongst people who do hymnals on the computer. The program is avalible for Windows only and will not work under Mac OS or Linux with WINE.

Noteworthy Composer 2 or nwc2 lets you create MIDI files (music files). It is quite easy to use and some musical knowledge is required so you can use the program to it's full potential. You can just download the full version for free, but you have to register. If you don't register, you are just reminded to do so with a nag screen when you open the program. Also you can only save a file 10 times until you register, but if you save it as a MIDI and then import it into nwc2 and save it, you still hve your music file and you have another 10 saves left.
Overall, a good program for minor music writers.
