They need to improve MAl - too many database errors and so. However, this is the best site for making anime and manga lists (exploring new shows and meeting people as well :D)

Very buggy and misses a lot of features. It should improve still this is the best anime/manga database.
Good site has all what it needs for an anime geek to track his anime but the site should move to a new server that can handle the user flow. the site is so bugged due to the high usage of the site.
Good site. I just don't really like the interface (why did they make the manga list black and gray with red writings? It's hard to read). It also takes a while for the lists to update, and sometimes the message system bugs.
I love it! The best anime website. I spend a lot of my free time on it.
I used to spend a lot of time last year on MAL. I partially quit MAL just because I am busy with a lot of interesting stuff and it is hard to find time for both life and MAL. Overall, is a good site; it's perfect for your list of anime and manga and also for finding some nice people to talk too.
It has a downside though. There are many database errors lately that keep you from posting, keeping up with a thread (posts dissapear, there is a lag, MySQL error messages appear a lot, everywhere.) They might solve those problems, but in the meantime other people must have patience with the speed of MAL. ._.
MAL = the best site for creating your anime/manga list... They have a really huge database for anime, manga, people. If you need help with a certain series, you will surely find it there. :-)
My favorite anime website! I used to love it dearly! (always spending my free time there) It is informative and much more easy to use than the others I found.(always uses it on Y! Answers) I can also read some recommendations when I run out of anime.
Okay, so you may be wondering why "used". Two years ago it was the best but now I'm quite irritated with it(though it still helps me keep informed). Right now, it's full of bugs and glitches. (when I add something in my list, it will take a while before it updates and also the same when I post at the forums)
I still use it, but not as often as before.
