The most popular email client on Windows

Microsoft Outlook is a personal information manager from Microsoft, and is part of the Microsoft Office suite.

Until October 2010 there was no Mac OS version of Microsoft Outlook. The Office component for email and calendar was distributed as Microsoft Entourage. Starting with Microsoft Office 2011, Outlook is available for Mac OS X as well.

Although often used mainly as an e-mail application, it also provides a calendar, task and contact management, note taking, a journal and web browsing.

It can be used as a stand-alone application, but can also operate in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server to provide enhanced functions for multiple users in an organization, such as shared mailboxes and calendars, Exchange public folders, Sharepoint lists and meeting time allocation. Outlook also has an RSS reader which is very functional.

Always vastly preferred 2003, but was forced to upgrade to 2007. It's okay, I guess. It's functional, if a bit slow and crashy. 2010 is better. Use with xobni for maximum productivity.

Great overall day-to-day organizer, of course, tied to just Microsoft though. Slow when you have a lot of data.

While it integrates nicely with Microsoft mail servers and Windows, it almost offers more CSS support on a mac! This is not the only email client holding up the progress of email standards but it is certainly the largest. Seriously, why can't it just keep up with HTML standards?

99% of my working day is spent in Outlook. I've used Notes and Gmail, but there is something about Outlook that I just really like. Maybe it's just a habit.

Not bad, but I'm certainly not a fan... It is a good business tool, but that's it.
