Highly recommend it if you're looking for a job.
Great for online professional resume.
I've always felt like everything Linkedin does, Facebook could do better. I hate the need to update a separate website.
The network has great potential, I hope than achieve it.
The best business like social network I have used. Actually, this is the only one I use!
Less a social network, more a resume listing and linking service. Suits its purpose though.
Do people have unrealistic expectations of Linkedin?

A very useful social network for professionals.
Essentially Facebook for your professional identity, minus the pic and video albums.
It's good but underused in my region.
The business social network, LinkedIn serves it's role very well.
Just like any other social network, when you don't make the effort, nothing will happen.
However, I find this a very usefull tool to acquire new business.
Seems prudent these days to have an up-to-date work profile which is easily shareable. Linkedin fits the bill nicely.
Note to self: never use this as it would mean you have become an adult X(
Great network for business contacts, but also other "serious" contacts like musicians. No Hyves or Facebook for me.
