… More EditLast.fm is an Internet radio station and music recommendation system that merged with sister site Audio scrobbler in August 2005. The system builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste, comprising the songs played on its stations selected via a collaborative filter, or optionally, recorded by a Last.fm plugin installed into its users' music playing application. The profile is visible on a customizable web page, enhanced by limited social networking features, and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favorites.

It's my life!
The Last.fm client itself is actually free to use for all users, but they do offer a subscription service that is roughly £3.00 a month which gives those subscribed access to a 'VIP Zone' full of extra features and a prestigious black icon. The interface itself is clean and easy to use.
However, the support for Mac OSX users is shocking as of late as many members are unable to scrobble from their iPods/iPhone and there is no response from the staff at Last.fm as to when the problem will be solved. Therefore thousands of scrobbles are being disregarded and many are paying for a service they can't benefit from and enjoy. As a member myself and scrobbling from a Mac, I have found an alternative solution for scrobbling tracks from my iPod - check the app store for an application called 'CloudScrob' it works perfectly!
Overall and for the price very good. I like how it get tabs on my Windows Media Player usage so that my last.fm info gets updated so I can get better suggestions. Runs fine onf Windows 8 Developer's Preview and Google Chrome dev channel build.

Can be very buggy at times. Annoying that it opens during every instance of Windows Media Player.
