The longest running browser with DHTML support on Linux and other POSIX operating systems since its first stable 1.0 release (October 23, 2000). Works well with basic images on information pages. The default KHTML engine fails on Facebook and won't do Google Docs or playlists on Youtube. The WebKit engine in Konq supports more apps, although it doesn't support complete functionality of Zynga games and doesn't do Words With Friends. Most Konqueror plugins do not work with the WebKit engine. It is very good as a file browser, although in KDE 4.x it has the Dolphin file browser embedded. Konq 3.5.13 on Trinity/DE was more crippled as a web browser when I tried
it. Konq 3.5.13 failed to support most JavaScripts. I use the 4.x version of this browser extensively, but use Firefox to play Words with Friends and to change preferences on Comcast mail.

As a web browser it cannot compare to Firefox or Chromium.

Very unsatisfactory when on its KHTML engine, very excellent when I changed to WebKit. I really should've known that earlier.

I still have to try its webkit engine, but khtml has proven it's inability to cope with recent web requirements.

Weak browser. Go with something else like Firefox.

Ugly gui, too simple in my opinion, really bad and slow rendering. It's a pity.

I love the KDE integration (e.g. configurability of the toolbars! the whole look & feel), that I can divide the window into several parts, can easily use local folders, ftp folders, websites, a terminal in one window.

Absolutely my favorite browser. Alas on Wakoopa I have to mask it as something else to use the site which IMHO absolutely is a no-go on a software community site like this.
