A nice simple tool that sits in the menu bar for your gmail account. Works great.

It's nice, but there are better alternatives
Thunderbird offers multiple gmail accounts and has the same subtle notification actions
Not saying it's a bad app, I just have no use for it what so ever with other free better apps out there to do the job.

Great App but it as all google desktop applications it has a problem with the updater that continuously keeps nagging that it requires updates. There are some ways to get around this problem but all of them are work-arounds. Google should fix this since it is a absolutely a tool that I need since I want to use an online client rather then configuring the mail application in OSX. Since I do not want to download mail on my computer.

i have been having issues getting live updates from my gmail account. it says cant connect. check preferences: fault -2.
after looking up on the internet it seems that google notifier is unable to connect because of some proxy issues and credentials/signed certificates being stored in the keychain...
could not get it to connect still to notify me of any new email.
However, i am able to compose emails and send them. i am also able to add events on my calendar but not getting any notificatons of events or emails.

I only use this for the calendar alerts. Notify app for Mac is better for email in my opinion.

Great little Gmail notifier. Tells you when there's new mail or calendar event. From the little notifier icon you can compose mail, check mail, and do preferences. And from the Calendar icon you can create events! Overall pretty great little piece of software.

The simplest google notifier on OSX. Free by google. You can't ask for a better product of it's kind.
