The 42nd most popular configurator on Mac OS X

F.lux is an application that decreases display warmth automatically at sunset and increases display warmth at sunrise. The purpose of F.lux is to allow for more comfortable use of a computer throughout the day and to minimize the effect that computer use has on a person's sleep cycle and eye-sight. Thus, you could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better. F.lux makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day. F.lux makes your computer screen look like the room you're in, all the time. When the sun sets, it makes your computer look like your indoor lights. In the morning, it makes things look like sunlight again. Tell f.lux what kind of lighting you have, and where you live. Then forget about it. F.lux will do the rest, automatically.

Works great and does as featured - reduces amount of blue hue displayed on screen to easy strain on eyes. Only flaw is that it does not translate well on larger screens (esp. 1080p) and only really works for a tablet, laptop or netbook screen as in most cases they display less pixels.

Nah. I'm more of a designer guy so this isn't that good for me. And my light is bright white so I don't understand how this would be better for me. But it's a great software.

It's free, it's light weight, it makes the night more comfortable, can't live without it now. I even find myself waiting for the sunset! :) Must have!

its a very very nice app. sometimes i disable it and then my eyes hurt. when f.lux is on, its ok! you just have to get used to it in a week time let's say, and then u'll love it!

Does what it's supposed to do. And that's where the problem lies - for a program that just adjusts the display settings the program is definilty too big, also instead of installing under Program Files it installs itself into Documents&Settings. Not a nice way to behave.
