The client is FREE, about 100 KB to download and only takes seconds to run.
The Update Checker works on any Windows PC running 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000, ME or 98. It requires that Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 be installed.
The Update Checker will not send any personal information back to filehippo.com. The only information collected is a list of programs and their versions, along with the operating system details to help with processing. Additionally none of this is linked to your IP address and the logs are deleted after processing.

Not bad - the only issue is that it checks your installed software vs the available updates on filehippo website.. so if one of your software is not on their website, you never know there is an update available.

more efficient method for updating software installed
Excellent little programme. It keeps about 95% of my programmes up to date. Occasionally it asks me to update programmes that have been updated, however this rarely happens.
I've used this so many times that I can't remember (every month I run updates on my system). However, it's not showing up as any usage... Strange.
Very Nice and Handy App. to check updates for all of your softwares.
