If there was an Wakoopa for Amiga, then this application would be high on my software list.

But the version had to be the old DirOpus 4.xx and not the bloated version 6.xx

And I see that they have pushed the version 6.xx even further on the Windows platform and it's pricey there too, so it's good for them that they push DirOpus further on an bloated operating system.... :)

If the DirOpus 4.xx had been released pn Windows/Linux as an free version as it did on Amiga it would have gotten top score, but....

This is an amazing product that every hard core PC user shouldn't be without. The cost is a little steep but when I look at the value I get out of it for hours each day, I can justify the 3 copies I own with ease. FTP, File Merge/Synch tools, Favorites, and more.

My only complaint is that there are SO many features the developer overloaded the UI and it will be a turn off for some users. If you do try it out, give it a chance and you won't be disappointed.

O melhor gerenciador de arquivos que já experimentei no Windows, permite fazer quase tudo e o restante pode ser programado através de macros.

DOpus does just about everything I always wished Windows Explorer could do. Highlights include dual file trees, virtual folders (aka File Collections), tabbed browsing, and text and media file previewing. But where it really shines is in all the little configurable details and features that are packed into the program. I'd almost go as far as to say that if you want to customize or tweak an aspect of Directory Opus but you can't find a way to do it, then you probably don't need it. I highly recommended it over xplorer^2 and Free Commander and personally prefer it over the popular Total Commander. But... you're going to have to shell out some cash for it, because it's waaaaaaaaay overpriced.

Great file manager. Bad and expensive licensing scheme. For 80$ I at least expect to be able to run it on all my computers. USB is additional 10$ per drive.

I tried it for a while, but, seriously, 80 dollars for every major release? Come on...
It is some great application indeed, and it is hard to find an adequate replacement, but its price is way too heavy for most end-users. I can't figure out why a file manager has to do all these things DOpus can...

One of the best, if not the best, file manager there is. It's certainly the most expensive I've come across. My issues are with it's overall complexity and value. It's probably Ok if you're a power, power user, but for most users it tends toward overkill and needless complexity - Similar to the more recent editions of ClipMate.

From a value perspective, it's marginal, at best. if you need the full realm of it's features, you may find it to be worth the price, but most users can get by with something much less expensive, e.g xplorer2.

It also seems to be another of those vendors who feel they can profit most from their existing customer base by charging a rather exorbitant fee for upgrades - another of my pet peeves. I currently use via securing a license during a half-price offering. I would not have paid full price and will not upgrade at their current rate.

Greate file commander with tonns of features and totally customizable, but really too pricey as for me, though my choice. Beats TC and all the others, but has quite high entry threshold.
