An excellent web app that allows the user to convert images to icons and vice versa. Very useful! It also supports 256 levels of transparency for smooth icons!
Best of it's kind that I've come across.
Looking for an easy way to turn that great photo into an icon. ConvertIcon is just the site for you. Browse for your image, choose the area you wish to make your icon out of, click Export, choose your size and save. ConvertIcon will save your result as either a PNG or ICO file.
Sweet, my suggestion went through. This is a very handy website, for times I'm being lazy and don't want to crank up Photoshop.
