… More EditCommand & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Studios, released in 2000 as the follow up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert, another game in the Command & Conquer series. The Allies and Soviets return in the game, and units and some structures from the first Red Alert make a reappearance. The game features better graphics, multiplayer and a continuation of the Red Alert story. Two stories are implemented in the game. When you play on the Allied side, they succeed in defeating the Soviets. However, if playing on the Soviet side, they take over the world, the player becoming "Premier of the world".

One of my favorite RTS games. Campaign is fun and playing in LAN is extremely fun.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is in my opinion the best RTS game out there! It has set the bar for other RTS games that have yet to be exceeded. Perfectly balanced teams even though the teams have completely different units. The BEST!
Many say the con with this game is that it requires the IPX protocol to play. Microsoft decided to remove the IPX protocol in further versions of Windows (Vista and above). Thankfully you can now download a file that will let RA2 to play LAN via the UDP protocol. Just Google Red Alert 2 LAN and you should get a link to that file :P (Don't worry it wont ruin the game, it just tricks the game in thinking you have an IPX protocol)
I think this game is one of the best. I miss not being able to play online!

In my opinion one of the best strategy games out there. Balanced gameplay, smooth looking graphics and awesome cutscenes with a lot of humour
