The 7th most popular messenger on Mac OS X
… More EditColloquy is an open-source IRC, SILC and ICB client for Mac OS X. It uses its own chat core that is also included as part of the ChatKit project, though in the past it used Irssi as its IRC protocol engine. Its developers' goal is to offer a robust IRC, SILC and ICB experience to users while blending seamlessly with the look and feel of other Mac OS X applications. To this end, Colloquy provides a user interface that is consistent with Apple's Human interface guidelines in addition to traditional IRC command-line controls. Colloquy also has comprehensive support for scripting and can be automated using Applescript.

Tão bom quando o xChat para Linux!!!
Amazing IRC client. This is one of those OSX apps that make me really hate the fact that I can't hackintosh my desktop. What I can't stand about most IRC clients is that they seem to think that since IRC was made in the dark ages, the client should reflect that. But Colloquy seems to think different (r). It has a modern look and feel and works great, on desktop OSX, on the iPhone, and on the iPad.
I really like the complete customizable UI, never let me down!
actualy my favourite IRC client.
I don't care what people say, this IRC client is near perfect!
use it to chat on twit.tv irc
Good IRC client for mac. I like the interface!
This IRC client is the best ever made for Mac OS X. Definately
perfect irc client for me, never failed and easy to use.
Terrific IRC client for the Mac. It seems to have all the features you would need. It's not a resource hog at all.
The best Mac IRC client IMO. I have it for the iPhone as well.
Not really the best for features but it's best for bucks. As its free.
It's a bit too much like 'IRC for Normal People' for me; I prefer a more advanced user interface and this really hides what's going on behind the scenes, it can't handle large amounts of text very well (Enjoy listening to your MacBook transform into an airplane when someone floods some ASCII in Efnet) - It's good for beginners but if you're really into IRC this is NOT the client for you!
I'm not entirely sold on the interface, but otherwise, I love Colloquy. I use it fairly often, and I haven't had any issues. If you need an OS X IRC client, you can't really go wrong with this one.
Very awesome. Using it for IRC since yesterday and I'm impressed. Looks slick, has all the options you need... just great.
