I hate Apple products, and Apple Update takes too long and is annoying.

As i am a proponent of keeping software patched up to the latest revision, this is the least offensive piece of bloatware installed by iTunes for windows (along with quicktime, bonjour, mobile device helper, mobileme, etc). I especially loved the time when Apple configured the updater to classify Safari as an recommended/critical update, which caused many to inadvertently and unknowingly install the browser. Including me, hrmph. Safari was quickly changed to an optional install after a public outcry.

See here for a manual workaround for a bare bones itunes installation.

Excellent update manager. By far, the best I have ever used. My second choice is the Debian Update Manager, and Windows' is just... Horrid.

When an update for iTunes or QuickTime emerges, you have to download the entire program (almost 100 Mb), that is a bit awkward imho.
