If you need multiple IM services not supported by iChat/Messages, and/or you need more customization, Adium certainly delivers the best experience and performance, especially over using the native apps for each service.
One (IM) client to rule them all! Well... almost. ;-)
Certainly the best chat client on Mac. I do wish it had better support for IRC (like Linkinus) which would save me having to install yet another application (and have another application running).
Best IM client
Always on top))))
Best IM on Mac
Can't get excited about an IM frontend, sorry.
The best IM client for Mac and my favorite client overall. Just the right balance of features and a quiet, attractive UI make this multi- protocol chat client a pleasure to use. Quack.
xD
Simplest Mac IM program. Could have more functionality such as Voice chat (over Google Talk f.e.) and Video.
It has low data transfer speed using MSN protocol. However, there is no other im alternative better than Adium.
The best instant messenger for mac.
:)
flexible and easy to manage chat tool - can't live without it
Good looking and shows notifications at dock. Unfortunately is not multiprotocol
