I can't help it, I'm a sucker for these kinda games. Perfect for when I don't want to sleep or read but do nothing of any mental exertion. My main complaint with Burger Rush is the inability to repeat a level after you've played some.

  • Google Checkout

A bit quirky with navigation but overall a great payment gateway. I love that my payments go directly into my checking out as I don't like my money just sitting somewhere unprotected. Works great for invoicing clients for my design business in the past and currently using it for selling baked goods online.

I suppose if I had a stand alone monitor this would've worked great. The interface was easy peasy and process looked simple. Unfortunately, they made no mention on their site and application that you can't calibrate a laptop screen. Sure, I could've looked that up...but would've been a nice tip.

  • Last.fm

I've been using Last.fm over a few years now but just recently started utilizing their events feature. I loved last.fm before, and now...even more. Also, I like that I can send my stats via Media Monkey and also via lastpandora.com site. Some genre tagging can be a bit off, but eh, that's all user errors out there. :P

  • MediaMonkey

Still using the free version but have a feeling I'll be upgrading at some point. At first Media Monkey was a bit overwhelming and difficult to navigate, but now I have the hang of it and wonder what my problem was. So easy to organize, edit and listen to all my music and not a huge memory hogger like WMP was. I love the plugins, though the only one I use is the last.fm one. Also, I'm able to listen to the live audio feeds from my friend when he's DJing online. Snazzy!

  • Fresh Books

I'm still using the free version of FreshBooks but will eventually up my package once my clients increase. My favorite aspect is the time tracking, but the project/task breakdown is very helpful as well. Also, I appreciate being able to download as a pdf file as that is how I send my invoices to clients. My main irritation is the invoice output, while customizable to your colors and logo, it's still very basic. Simple things like "Make checks payable to:..." have to be added ever time an invoice is created.

  • TweetDeck
    Features:
    Performance:

I wish I could customize the column sizes more, and the memory is a bit greedy when left open awhile, but otherwise, perfect for my needs. I like that I can now make comments on other social networks than twitter, without having to open up a browser.

  • Firefox

I love the plug-ins available and have used Firefox for years. Unfortunately, the last six months I have stopped using it and switched to Chrome. I just can't deal with the length of time it takes to open, let alone how much memory it hogs on my machine. Every time I use it it crashes. Every single time. Lame.

  • TweetDeck

I've only been using it a couple weeks but so far I like TweetDeck. I saw a fellow designer friend using it and appreciated the ability to keep track of facebook on it at the same time. No memory hog as others mentioned around the web but I think I downloaded an updated version after changes.

When you're trying to waste time and shake the stresses away, this game works. Except the alien sound was nearly the same as a fish dying on Insaniquarium so I kept thinking I was messing up. :P Only four words, so I completed the game in a couple mind numbing days. Would've been nice if it just kept going.

I've actually met a number of people on here, either for dating or just as friends and it's been quite helpful. Sure, there's the typical drama on the forums, but I rarely participate. Usually, just a few comments here and there. Their IM feature sucks so I only use it when I've forgotten to turn it off and someone IMs me, but after their redesign that's my only complaint.

I can recall the many hours I spent playing this game when it first came out and it's still addictive today. Something about the zoop zoop ding of the elevators gets to me...I love it!

  • ArcGIS

I haven't used this in a while as I'm no longer enrolled in the GIS courses though I did find it a fairly easy program to learn and use.

  • craigslist

I found my last job via Craigslist, and my last two roommates. If you're smart then it'll work for you in those areas. On the other hand, I've browsed the Casual Encounter ads, seen nothing worth pursuing, yet made my own post (with success). Again...be smart, use the noggin and you get out of CL what you want.

I've tried multiple other feed readers and so far this is the one I keep coming back to. Some organization features I would like (or possibly I'm just not seeing how to do it) but other than that, it's a good to go thing I've used for years.
