Another gap. The implementation of iCloud has generated a lot of ill feeling. The loss of the MobileMe features of iDisk, Gallery, and iWeb hosting is upsetting so many. Gallery is the major problem it seems. Apple do not seem to get the implications. Well, I suppose there are none for Apple, just for loyal users.
My iCloud account was upgraded until June to 25 gig. How on earth one uses it is not explained. iCloud has no means of navigation and file management, unlike iDisk, so although one can sync a few things it is going to take an awful lot of email to use the capacity.
Hi, just came back after a bit of a gap. Mobile Me users keep everything as is till next summer. With iCloud you'll get both until MM disappears. Then you'll lose iDisk and Gallery and iWeb hosting. Seems stupid to me. Apple have given me something like 25GB on iCloud but how to use it? I think you'll see a number of apps from third parties once it gets out of beta. I reckon that'll be next week as will Lion 10.7.2, so you might as well wait a few days.
The iCloud servers have been cranky the last 10 days but today Apple have seeded another combo update for Lion beta inc iCloud.
