I use it dozens of times a day. *handy tip* did you know that if you press your windows key (next to the ctrl and alt keys on most keyboards) along with the E key, it opens Windows Explorer instantly? Most people I talk to don't know that so I thought I'd just put it out there...
Skype is really handy. Video chat, voice chat, or IM / Typing chat. Screen sharing (really handy for giving someone a walkthrough, or showing them something on your computer). If you want to call a landline (rather than another skype number) it's very affordable. We're thinking about replacing our landline with Skype, since it's only a teeny, tiny fraction of the cost.
It's best when you use it on your own server, because there are so many great plugins you can download and install for free that aren't available if you use it through wordpress.com. I really love wordpress.
A great program that I've been using for many years. It's easier to navigate than photoshop, fireworks, and many of the others when you just need to accomplish basic graphic editing / creation.
Netflix is awesome. We haven't had cable in years and didn't miss it at all... however since getting Netflix we both realized that there are a lot of movies and TV shows worth seeing and it's nice to be able to spend 9 bux a month (rather than a hundred or more a month for cable that's riddled with more commercials than content). The best part is getting to stream everything through my computer!
I really love this chat client. I have tried dozens of IM proggies through the years, but this one is the best yet. It's stable, supports several different chat servers in one program, has great features, and is free. Can't get much better than this...
I used to think it was the best browser, hands down, and I swore by it for years. However, I've had to abandon it in favor of Chrome. The main problem I have with it, is that when you start opening 3 or more tabs and using add-ons, etc. inevitably, Mozilla crashes. Often. For no apparent reason. I've uninstalled/reinstalled not only firefox, but all add-ons and other extras, and tried various tweaks and fixes, but in the end, it always crashes. Usually, several times a day. I keep it installed so I can use it once in awhile for specific tasks, but I am sad to say that I rarely use it at all anymore.
I currently manage a few hundreds sites using Dreamweaver and it saves a LOT of time. I love dreamweaver, but there are some downsides. I am currently using CS4, and among the annoyances I could do without are that every time I hit backspace and keep typing without stopping for a moment first, it automatically triggers a CSS rule box, which I then have to esc out of. Pretty annoying. However, the many, many plus sides far outweigh the few small annoyances, and it saves so much time!
Facebook has a lot of bugs, but it's a necessity these days. Between keeping track of far-away family members, finding long lost friends, and keeping up with clients and co-workers, not to mention paid ads for businesses, I can't seem to stay away for long...
I don't just open a couple tabs - I open multiple browser windows with 30+ tabs being open per browser window. IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari - all eventually crash, and crash hard. Chrome almost never crashes under twice the workload! Twice in the last month, I have had a shockwave or flash plugin crash on me - but unlike the other browsers, that did not cause a hard crash, and I was able to save all of my other work and shut down my browser when I was ready to. I really love Chrome so far!
We haven't had cable (or any other kind) of TV for over 5 years because we never have time to watch it, have no patience for commercials, etc. Well, with Netflix, none of these things are a problem. You can stream thousands of movies, TV shows, and other media whenever you want to, commercial free, for a teeny, tiny fraction of the cost of cable TV, with no annoying commercials.
It's a little on the pricey side for what it does, and the interface could stand to be improved, but overall, it's a useful program to have for automating some repetitive functions in order to save time.

I've been using CuteFTP Professional for many, many years now. It gets the job done, is simple/fast to use, and the price is very reasonable.
