Do you ever get to NC?
Hello...
can i be friend
y r beautiful
Hi :-))
He and Mark Twain said silly things that stuck. hehe
Just think about the first one .... "when you come to a fork in the road take it" hehe...ok!! Which way do you go...hehe. Get it? Left or right? Like you have a decision to make...scratch head....hhmmm which way do I go?? Hope that helps...
Second one ... the concept of deja vue is that you did something before -- so like you are in a situation that you did before or you go to a new place and you feel/think that you were already there once before. That is deja vue....So his statement is just plain silly. If you feel like something already happened and it is happening again - that can be deja vue. So his statement is like double meaning...Sorry, that one is harder to explain.
BTW - You must think I am freaking nuts - If so you are close. hehe...
Hope you are enjoying all the traveling :-))
"When you come to a fork in the road, take it" hehe
"Looks like deja vue all over again"
Both attributed to Yogi Bera ...
Hello. When I was a kid, I walked to school (one-room schoolhouse) and it was uphill bothe ways. And in winter the snow would be over the fence posts. And yes - we had no indoor plumbing and had a "two seater" outhouse.
:-)) cheers
Another one :-)) "Rode Hard and Put up Wet"
When someone looks really bad or something is messed up, use that expression. Example: Holy Cow ... that dood (doodess) looks like he (she) was rode hard and put up wet.
Reasoning. From the days when horse was main mode of transport. To take care of your horse, you cleaned and dried them off after you "rode hard". If not, the horse looked like and was not in best of shape.
:-)) cheers and hugs - take care
cheers!
Here in the states, many people fish in ponds or lakes. You can walk all the way around. Old saying is that if the wind is from the west - the fish bite best. If from the East, they bite the least. I think it is BS myself. hehe :-)
How have you been? cheers
Hi....
Wind is from the West, fish bite best.
Wind from the East, fish bite least.
hehe cheers
Hello elyse
How are you?
I'm good :D
lol @ Web 2.0's slave.
A farmer often gives relative directions by referring to their land. In the USA, most land outside the coasts is broken into sections. A square mile section contains 640 acres. These are in turn divided into 160 acre quadrants which are in turn divided into 4 x 40 acre blocks. And that is commonly as far as it goes.
So a farmer might say something like: "Well, you go over by the big Oak tree over there in the Southeast 40. About 60 feet past the old broken down Farmall and that's where the well is." Or ... "Well after I mow the Northwest 40 Ima gonna go in town and have a few brewskies and shoot some pool."
:-)
cheers bye
@s0x: The reason is simple. That's because I don't like Social Life. It makes my head dizzy. I'm just not into 3D games, after all.
Ooh, I can't believe you've put a 2D flash game is better than Second Life. </3.
